We focus on going to the gym, eating the right foods, wearing the appropriate clothes relaxing and stretching the joints. Our generation has gone back in time and everyone wants to be physically fit.
Don't get me wrong; I love the gym, I care about my body and its health but what about out our minds? Our minds are the catalyst into our individual beings. We tend to neglect the most powerful tool God has given us to survive, adapt, and be. We care about how many calories we eat, how much we work out and how good our body looks but our mind gets neglected. There are so many thoughts and emotions during our every day. Both men and women struggle with their inner thoughts constantly. Some days are good, some day are rough. So many people go through life, hiding those thoughts and emotions from everyone around them. Many times when a person hits anxiety, depression or even suicide it is because they have cannot control the turmoil that has been within their minds for many years. They never learned to cope and instead they hid their frustration until it started to overflow. In days like today, focus on it, feed and nourish your mind. We have the time. Instead of focusing on social medial and Netflix, focus on you and help yourself to grow. If the average human being uses about ten percent of the brain capacity, what would happen if we push ourselves to use more of it. Many people have been successful because they have gotten out of their own comfort zone. When you push yourself to be better you find yourself in places you never thought you could be. You achieve goals that were at one point unattainable. Write your dreams, plan the goals you want to achieve, have vision boards, journal your days. Those are all an important part of the process but before you worry about helping anyone else make sure you, yourself is not drowning. Make sure you have healed from a broken heart, that you have forgiven yourself and others from a trauma you had to face. The battles we all face can come in many sizes and weigh in different values, just because they are different that does not mean they are less. We all deal differently. We all feel differently. We all love differently. That is the beauty, we are clearly all different. Yes, we have our distinctions and similarities but not even twins have the same fingerprints.

Our walks differ in more ways than one. We need to be kind with one another starting with ourselves. Take the time, spend the money and never feel bad for investing in your well being. Find the time to pray, to rest, to learn, to grow, without it you will feel you are slipping with no way out. We believe that our families and loved ones are more important than anything else but in truth, how can we take care and love those who surround us if we don't take the time for ourselves. Our mental health should not be the back-burner. Love yourself enough to lose the weight, to conquer the goal yes, but also to have inner sanity and peace. If you love and accept yourself first, you can love and accept those who you care about.
