Poetry gave me a way to express myself without holding back or bottling anything inside. Through out the years I kept writing more and more, but only when I felt inspired. I refuse to sit and write a poem just because I "should", but instead when inspiration takes over. For many years I struggled with sharing what I wrote because I felt it was so personal, but I eventually gave in about five years ago and started to publicly share.
