What Is Your Purpose?

We often find ourselves wondering why we do what we do. It could be our personality, character trait, reaction, job etc. Although throughout our lives we question it, do we really know it or pursue it? Many of us are either too scared or too lazy to make it happen. When I say “too scared” I mean, we doubt if it is possible. When I say “too lazy”, we decide it is too hard and we settle for less.

By allowing self doubt to take over our lives we place our selves in a space in time where we will never achieve anything beyond what is. We stay in a place of conformity that does not help growth. Although I battle it daily, I learned long ago that what doesn’t grow, dies. Conformity becomes an enemy that is boring, and lazy. Boring and lazy are not synonyms for peaceful and calm. They are subliminal words we tell ourselves to pretend it is okay to not fight for our purpose. Fear is a pesticide which takes over you life, your job, your dreams, your family and everything you could potential achieve. It has a way of controlling even our thoughts. It demands focus and attention. Many people lived and die without having the family they dreamt, the person they loved, the job the longed, or the life they wished simply because fear had them bound. Even in our everyday, it is important to not allow thoughts of fear to control our lives, it will consume and destroy. Fear preys on the weak and it enslaves and handicaps those who could have become much greater tomorrow than they are today. Your purpose is catalyze by your drive. I strongly believe it is a God given desire. Do not allow fear, or self doubt to hinder your goals and dreams. Feed the possibility, feed the drive, feed the longing. Your purpose is not there to make you a slave but rather to help you become a better self. Growth is important to your well being, while being an asset to those you love and want to inspire.

When we choose to not be discipline in our purpose, we fail ourselves. When we fail ourselves our self esteem is at its lowest. No matter what other people say to inspire us, if we don’t believe it, in our minds we aren’t worth it. Many times the fact that we think we aren’t worth our dreams, that’s what controls us. Why work for it, why plan it, why make the time to fail. In reality however... it is the other way around. It is because we don’t work, plan, or make the time the actual reason why we do not achieve it. By focusing and understanding your purpose you are able to achieve it. You start planing your life around your purpose and dreams, and before you know it you are growing in it. Do not allow life to come and go without fulfilling what God placed you on earth for. Whatever your purpose may be, deep inside you know. Follow that calling, follow that voice, follow your purpose and watch yourself glow and grow. We are never truly our happiest until we pursue the reason we are here for. Life takes us into many different roads and directions. It is okay to embrace each moment and live in it but it is not okay to not let life pass us by. Our days on earth are very short, do not wait until you are on your death bed to say, “i wish I would have been braver and fulfilled my passion”. Following your dreams, passion, or purpose may not always be the easiest, but is it definitely the most fulfilling. Do not settle, do not question yourself with “what ifs” instead; do, plan, and progress.
