A day in my place.

I have gone there time after time

With precious memories to hold

But nothing like this, nothing so attainable

I closed my eyes, I open my other senses

I heard the rain, I heard the wind

I saw the leaves falling, did I miss all of this before

From afar it is still, it is still

From my peripheral things are moving

These aren’t things, this is life

This life is alive.

This is brand new,

This is a whole new world

Have I not been here before

Did I not see you this way before

Where you hiding or was i not seeing?

It is my fault, I have taken you for granted

I have come time and time again but never did I see you this way

Your beauty is unraveling because I was pushed to

Not because it wasn’t there, its always been there

I neglected it, I apologize.

It is me, it is my mind

It is I who did not appreciate

Your calmness enters my soul

Your peace escapes this world

The view, the breath, the smell

It is you connected with I but never before did I engage

Today I engage, today I appreciate

Today I submit to your beauty and take in your love for my life.
